My Joy to Receive A Letter from Ireland
I totally am excited to read every Letter from Ireland. My paternal great grandparents emigrated to the States from Ireland. My Daddy was as Irish as can be. However, my DNA says I have lots of Scotch too. I think there were some marriages between the two countries. I read there is a short distance between County Antrim and Southern Scotland. The Letter brings travel news and comments from experienced Irish folks, and it is such a pleasure to hear about their travels. The Letter brings important research news, and I really need that assistance. The authors are truly Irish born and raised. Their voice is so important to hear and know they love and care about all the Irish folks living everywhere in the world. I did travel to Ireland in the year 2000. The joy of my life to be there and listen to the voices. I feel at home in Ireland!! Thanks you to the authors and their wonderful sharing of Ireland to us all!!!!
Irish Anthems
Irish music is absolutely beautiful. I would add a song that I believe has roots in Ireland. In fact I was named after this melody. ‘‘Tis, I’ll Take You Home Again Kathleen. Thank you so much.
The letter from Ireland
I thoroughly enjoy The Letter From Ireland & look forward to reading it.
Thank you
Only joined recently, I think it is great. I really enjoy the letters and the podcast. I cant wait to read more. It makes you feel like you finally have a connection with something you really need and love.
Kenney of County Cork
Mike and Carina provide so many interesting tales and insights into Irish history, origins of family names along with beautiful Irish music. I have learned so much from these podcasts and have enjoyed every minute. Some day I will find my Kenney family, but until then I am enjoying the journey.
Irish letter
I love the podcast because it connects me to Ireland, where my family was from
Thanks
I find the podcasts not only entertaining but also extremely educational for a novice delving into his Irish ancestry. According to my DNA results, I’m over 75% Irish but virtually all my Irish heritage has been lost here in the US. The Green Room and podcasts are helping me regain a lot that has been lost, Thanks again. Slan!
Bite Size Irish
19 APRIL 2023 episode #816 “Let’s chat with a Native Gaelic Speaker” Oh I was quite thrilled to have both of my fav Irish podcasters together in one episode! What a splendid treat! Eoin O’Connor’s familiar voice got my attention immediately as the podcast began. It’s always a joy to hear every episode of the letter from Ireland show with Mike & Carina, but this time the fun was doubled. Thank you for a wonderful program EVERY time. My Irish citizenship is currently processing so I am hoping it will be a successful attempt, but while I wait, your topics always help me exercise patience. Even if I don’t get the citizenship granted, I will continue to adore the lessons and experiences on your special Irish show. Thank you both, for giving me a good reason to look forward to my morning alarm, along with a strong cup of Lyons tea. Kindest regards, Felicity
The Letter From Ireland
Thanks for this wonderful podcast which educates me on the history of Ireland, and the terrific music. I have been to Ireland once and do hope to go back, but I fear I may need a year to visit many of the places you both have highlighted on your podcast. Thanks again Mike Sinnott, great grandson of Michael Sinnott and Johanna Power, New Market, Kilkenny.
I can’t get enough of this podcast!
I have gotten so much enjoyment & education from this podcast. I’ve listened to many episodes more than twice now. I recommend it to anyone I think would be interested in Irish history or their Irish genealogy. It’s such a wealth of information, recording quality is always perfect and it’s relaxing.
Thank you Mike & Carina☕️🍰
This is the BEST podcast and I am thrilled to be here while I sit with a cup of tea. Your sacrifice of time to make your work available to all, is evident. I appreciate you both sharing your passion of Irish heritage on paper as well as electronically. It is truly inspiring, and defines my thoughts as I enjoy each topic. ~Felicity
Love these
I learn so much from listening to you! And more connections to what I have heard from family gone by over the years!
I Love these podcasts
I've been a long time fan of the website, but I really like hearing it spoken even better. The information is great as always, but hearing the Irish accent makes you feel like you are actually there. Even though many of the stories are not about my specific ancestors, I feel like it brings them to life for me. I can understand what their lives could have been like and it connects me with all the people and the Irish culture. Thank you so much for helping me discover so much of my Irish heritage.
